The Lakeside Lodge offers several private decks and porches with breathtaking views of the lake, a private 2 slip boat dock, firepit, and a hot tub. The house was in a great area and had superb views of the lake. We loved being able to immerse ourselves outside and relax with the sounds of nature.
The home itself is pretty dated, but bustles with cabin-styled decor which is standard with lake houses.
The kitchen was stocked, but could be better stocked for those who planned to cook at the home their entire stay. (ie more pots and pans or cutting boards)
Main Bathroom downstairs had standing water in the shower and seemed to be clogged.
Bathroom in the single bedroom downstairs didn’t have any water pressure and essentially dripped water.
Rusty nails were found all over the deck on the main level.
The house was extremely hot when we first came in and took hours to cool down – which is okay, but recommend turning on the AC a few of hours before guests arrive.
Recommend adding more chairs by fire pit and potentially some chairs on the deck too.
Overall, our family enjoyed our stay and really loved being surrounded by nature + Lake Chatuge!
