Take in the stunning views from so many areas in this home. This will be your come-to chalet year after year.
Space
Master bedroom with King bed and attached bath with stand up shower is on the main floor. Laundry room is also conveniently located on the main floor along with a half bath.
If your an early bird grab you coffee and watch sunrise from one of the many seating areas on the deck. Is it a little cold outside? Light the gas firepit table to keep you warm.
Views even in the loft! The loft has 2 full size beds and there's even a couple of room dividers for a little more privacy.
Needed to bring the office with you? The desk in the loft also has a view.
Downstairs has another living area for the kids, complete with a foosball table, connect 4, puzzles, board games., and a new Amazon Super Nintendo with over 100 games. For cold evenings there is a gas heater in the corner of the living room , The 3rd bedroom is a King bed with a shared bath. There's also another deck off the downstairs living room area.

Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 35-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 45-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.
We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. So much to do and see right in town. We have a handy Welcome Book in the house full of Places to Eat, Things to Do, Shopping, Hiking and Waterfall Trails. Wineries with live music events and tastings. And a short 25 min drive to the Bavarian themed town of Helen for tubing or zip lining.
There are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters... The fellas will help you out! All kinds of water toys too like jet skis, stand up paddle boards and kayaks.
Hike or drive to the apex of Bell Mountain, which overlooks Lake Chatuge below and provides picturesque mountain views. Shooting Creek Overlook is breathtaking. Visit Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. Jackrabbit Mountain and Chatuge Dam. Both Towns County (Hiawassee GA) and Clay County (Hayesville NC) have super parks and beaches. Trailheads of the Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine, are less than 10 miles from this home.

Kitchen is fully stocked, we have a crockpot, roasting pan, a toaster, George Forman tabletop grill, Blender, spices, cookie sheets, hand mixer, casserole dishes, bread pans, and a stock pot.
