Lake Chatuge Recreation Area
We had an awesome time tubing and kayaking through the area. I will say that it was a bit more stressful with the kayaks just because we had to be more cognizant of not getting too close to the motor boats. Other than that, we really enjoyed it. There are some picnic tables fairly close to the area so it would not be a place to eat lunch after a day on the lake.

Reece Farm & Heritage Center
Nice little stop along the highway to commemorate Byron Reece, the poet/farmer. There is a film which educates one in regards to his early life and start of his career. There are stone markers with some of his poetry. I really enjoyed the small creek and feeding the donkey and goat.

Mountain Life Museum
Small but very nice museum consisting of a restored house from the very early 1900s, a log cabin built in 1861, a barn and blacksmith shop. The blacksmith shop has not been redone yet but the other buildings are open for touring and contain all sorts of historical artifacts. Not at all far from the Blairsville courthouse and takes about 45 minutes to take in. Well worth the stop.
